New Laboratory Premises
In February 2015 Aber Shock and Detonation Research have moved to new laboratory premises in Lampeter, West Wales more than doubling the available floor space

Recently Aber Shock and Detonation Research have purchased former Shock Waves Group equipment including:
- Spark Schlieren camera system
This film based system has been successfully used by Abershock personnel to image detonation phenomena with microsecond resolution. Images are available and will be added to the website soon.
- Optical Shock Tube
This 76 x 152mm rectangular shock tube is fitted with multiple instrumentation ports and includes an optical section that can be used for schliren imaging, a smoked foil section that can be used to obtain detonation cell size measurements..
